Ingredients
For the sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cm garlic paste (from a tube)
- ¼ onion, finely chopped
For the tacos
- 4 tortillas
- 300 g mixed beef and pork mince
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- vegetable oil, for frying
- 4 slices cheese
- ¼ head lettuce, cut into 1 cm strips
- sesame seeds, to sprinkle
Method
Make the sauce
- Finely chop the onion (a pull-cord chopper works well), then mix it in a bowl with the ketchup, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and garlic.
Make the tacos
- Spread the mince thinly over one side of each tortilla, pressing it on so that it sticks. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan over a medium-low heat and cook the tortillas meat-side down for 3–4 minutes.
- When the meat is mostly cooked, turn them over, lay a cheese slice on each and cook for 1–2 minutes more.
- Move them to a board, top with the lettuce and the sauce, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Fold each taco in half and serve.
